Baba’s Own production is located at St. Michel’s Long Term Care Centre and we continue to produce our Ukrainian Food with the utmost care and safety of our staff and customers, and most importantly the residents who call St. Michael’s home. So that you know, all staff are screened daily for symptoms.
And for all our loyal customers, to reduce exposure and keep everyone safe, we have implemented “curbside pickup”. And it’s easy! We are all in this together – thank you for your ongoing support.
It all started when several residents of St. Michael’s Millennium Pavilion wanted to make Ukrainian food that was “just like baba’s” for the residents of St. Michael’s. The community soon started purchasing Ukrainian Food from the residents to help them raise funds for Millennium Pavilion. Not only was there demand for food with the same high quality and taste as homemade, but the community loved the concept that the proceeds from sales provided support to St. Michael’s. Due to high demand, the residents handed the business over to St. Michael’s and provided support, guidance and recipes to help establish the business.
Today, the community still loves the concept of purchasing quality food knowing that all proceeds generated from Baba’s Own Ukrainian Food sales help fund quality of life programs and services for seniors who call St. Michael’s home.
Baba’s Own Ukrainian Food is a business venture that is owned, operated and onsite at St. Michaels Health Group, employing skilled and dedicated staff who create great tasting quality Ukrainian food that is Local & Traditional.
